Melissa was called in 1999 and is a member of Grays Inn. She commenced pupillage and initial tenancy at 3 Temple Gardens. Melissa initially specialised in crime but has been accepting family cases since 2000. Melissa joined Goldsmith Chambers from 3 Temple Gardens in 2006. In 2018 Melissa was appointed Head of the Family Department at Goldsmith Chambers.
Melissa has significant experience in all aspects of family litigation from initial advice, strategic case management and advocacy. She has a particular interest in Public Law, parental alienation and serious child protection matters. She accepts instruction in all aspects of private family law, Inheritance and civil litigation arising in trust and land disputes. Melissa has experience in inter-jurisdictional matters including permanent international relocation; Forced Marriage and FGM injunctive relief; complex high net worth financial matters and
agricultural divorces and settlement; of working directly with Private Family Offices (UHNW Investors) in family proceedings.
Melissa is a regular public speaker for Solicitors CPD training addressing lectures with full case law updates on Family Law, Injunctive Proceedings, Matrimonial Finance, Nuptial Agreements and Asset Security, Children’s matters, Inheritance and TOLATA.
Melissa has represented a number of high profile individuals over multiple disciplines including private actions. Accepts instruction in multidisciplinary regulatory proceedings.
